Film Programme

Hiraki Sawa 'Dwelling' 2002; 9m 20s (courtesy Arts Council Collection)

Seven artists’ films are brought together for the first time in Tatton’s cellars. Each artist, in their own way, takes a flight of fancy; whether literally, as Michelle Atherton in her Russian packaged experience in a MiG fighter or metaphorically, as Hiraki Sawa, in his flat. The artist’s ability to reconfigure space to suit his or her own imaginative needs links each of these works and their relevance to the Biennial.
